With daily and weekly newspapers and journals covering the who and what of business news, there was a void in the marketplace for a behind the scenes in-depth perspective on the region’s business. We took it upon ourselves to fill this void and developed a print and interactive business platform that connects, drives, and grows business throughout the upstate. When faced with the challenge of designing the magazine, we had the option of taking the traditional, safe route of other Upstate magazines or going with a big market, edgy feel. The magazine was set apart, not only by its uptown design, but also by the unique content found inside.
Through the creation of an upstate bi-monthly business magazine and coupling that with a robust, interactive platform (www.insideblackbox.com), we were able to bring together and connect the business community with ideas and strategies. With insight on successes and failures, Business Black Box aims to help all businesses, from small start-ups to multi-million dollar global companies, learn and grow.
